Chocolate Cookie Spoons

These Cookie Spoons are so adorable you won't want to eat them, and they're great on their own, but it's definitely better to decorate them with chocolate and sprinkles to add that little extra.

The recipe is so simple, it is absolutely fuss-free!

Ingredients:

- 85 g butter (room temperature)
- 100 g white sugar
- 1 egg (room temperature)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 160 g all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Chocolate or Candy Melts of your choice
- Sprinkles of your choice

Procedure:

1. In a large bowl, cream 85 g butter and 100 g sugar together until smooth.
2. Add 1 egg and beat until creamy.
3. Mix in vanilla extract.
4. In another bowl, sift together 160 g all purpose flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt.
5. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture and fold until you obtain a well-combined and sticky dough.
6. Cover dough with plastic wrap and let sit in the fridge about 2 hours, or until it isn't sticky anymore and you can handle it with more ease.
7. Use a scraper to fill the silicone spoon mould (or roll dough if you're using a cookie cutter)
8. Bake at 180ºC until the edges turn golden brown, be careful they bake really quickly, about 5-7 min.
9. Let them cool before decorating to your desire with melted chocolate and sprinkles!

I love these cookie spoons with a cup of milk tea or hot cocoa! I even use them to stir in the sugar, they surprisingly hold really well. You can make them for any kind of party, but it is sure to be a hit with kids or for a baby shower!

I'd love to see if you make these, use the hashtag #foureyedcook on social media!
