Watermelon & Mint Refresher Juice

Watermelons are my favourite fruit, and I love to eat them as is, but having a pitcher of fresh watermelon juice ready to quench thirst for any moment on these hot summer days is the best!

Watermelons are low-cal, nutrient dense and filling, they also have many healthy benefits, like lowering blood-pressure, improving digestion, hydrating you from the inside (which results in glowing skin!) and recovering muscle soreness and inflammation. Need more benefits? Well, they are delicious!

The recipe for this is pretty simple



Fill up your blender with watermelon cut up in squares and blend with ice, if you like it icy (Protip: fill half with ice cubes and half with watermelon, add a little bit of water for easier blending, and you get a watermelon slushie!). Add two tablespoons of fresh lemon juice and a few mint leaves, blend again until smooth.

You may add any sweetener or your choice, but I prefer to keep it as is to enhance the watermelon's natural taste.

Serve as is, or strain it to discard the pulp, you can also pour it over ice if you like it very chilled. Garnish with a slice of lemon, and enjoy your Watermelon & Mint Refresher Juice!
